Today is the greatest day I never had

Man, that title is way to good for what the contents of this post is going to be. Oh well, I tend to title things with the first thing that comes to mind.

I know I make a lot of statements in the blog that never come true. As you might recall I made a promise to do a sketch a day on January first and quickly fell short of that not a month later. Hell I don’t even think I lasted a week! I also made a pledge about loosing weight or some shit. Yeah…that didn’t happen.

What I am going to say on this post is not a pledge, or a promise of something I am going to do. What I am going to do is tell you what I have been doing and what I hope to continue to do.

I have been writing every night as well as reading before bed. I’ve missed writing. So far it has welcomed me back with open arms.

The reading is something I have been wanting to do for some time. I really love to read but never did for a long time because “I just didn’t have time”. Fuck that. I’m making time now. I’m reading at least one chapter of whatever book I’m reading at the time. I’ve decided I want more stories in my head, I want to be entranced into another writers world. I missed this from when I used to read all the time.

Along with readying and writing every night I’m listening to audio books on my drive to work. I figure this way I can double up on my stories.

I think I’m going to pick up a Nook Color to get books. If anyone has one and wants to let me know what they think I would appreciate it.

Just for the sake of fun I will tell you the books I’ve read recently, I might do a write up on each of them later because we all know how I love to review things.

Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton – Amazing. I loved this book.

Are you there Vodka? It’s me Chelsea by Chelsea Handler – still ready, very funny. I need to pick up her other books.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman – I’ve read this before, but now I’m listening to the audio and so far it’s great.

I think the next book I’m going to start is The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs. I’ve had it for a few years and have year to break past the first chapter. It’s not that I don’t like the writing style, it’s awesome, I just have never dedicated the time for it. Now I will.

I think this ends this post, as Big Bang Theory is on and I want to focus. I believe Wil Wheaton is on and I like his acting and style in a completely not sexual way. Honest.Wil, call me?
